Went to a new place for lunch today... Dominick's Italian Deli. It's at the corner of Folsom-Auburn and Douglas in the Gold's Gym parking lot. Great food! I had a philly cheesesteak and drink for around $9. For the price something on the side (like chips) would have been nice, but the sandwich was very good.
Very mom & pop style store, they seemed to have a decent lunch crowd. Give them a shot if you are in the Granite Bay area.

John- no offense--but if you went to Dominics and ate a philly cheese sandwhich--you really cheated yourself out of a great lunch.
Shoulda' tried their sea food plate.
Or their lasagna.
Or their meatball sandwhich.
And did you know they have italian ice soda's there?
Yep, they'll mix 'em for ya-right in front of you.

Dominick's is a great place! Brett911 turned me on to them a couple of years ago.
My favorites:
Vegetarian - Grilled Eggplant, Roasted Peppers, Fresh Mozzarella, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Marinated Mushrooms
Served cold. Great on a hot day.
Hit Man $8.95 $14.95 Hot Italian Sausage, Hot Capicollo, Hot Sopressatta covered with Hot Cherry Peppers and Melted Provolone
Hot spicy greasy goodness.
Vegetarian Panini - Fresh Mozzarella, Grilled Zucchini & Eggplant, Roasted peppers, Sun-dried Tomatoes, dressed with Sun-dried Tomato Pesto Vinaigrette.
Served hot, crispy, a little olive oil dripping down as you bite into it. My wife's favorite
Awesome good stuff. Plus, they've got stuffed peppers, a variety of salads, ribs, some imported Italian products, full bar, and a welcoming attitude.

Dominick's insiders know this secret:
Save room for dessert (which ususally means taking home over 1/2 your order since their portions are so large) and order an Italian Cobra (note, this includes alchohol).

Shoot, I thought Dominick's was a secret place I had discovered on one of my trips. I've had both lunch and dinner there and both were outstanding. They have great deli takeout stuff and an interesting wine selection as well. Neat place!

I know this is an old thread, but I just tried the pizza at Dominick and had to comment. Since Z pizza went under, I've been casting about for a new favorite. We ordere a large pizza and I LOVED it! It was exactly like how I want my pizza: thin crispy and flavorful. I think this will make it onto a weekly rotation at our house! LOL!
