maybe there should be a noise ordinance put in place? (or maybe there's one not being enforced?)

I pass these kids all the time on my bicycle. Why can't they ride one too?

Because that would require way too much effort! They don't want to wear themselves out or they will be to tired to work their game controllers.

they zip through the school parking lots at all hours, maybe it's just the summertime... hopefully it will stop when school gets going in 2 days
I haven't seen ANY of those kids wearing helmets on their scooters, most are probably ages 14+ so it's not "legal' to have to wear helmets, but I'm sure their trips will be short lived after one big wreck...
I bet those scooters generate more smog than my car

I think a lot of folks have completely forgotten what it was like to be a kid in the good ol' days - when we were allowed to be kids ...
I feel sorry for the way kids are treated like criminals these days by paranoid people

sorry, we didn't have gas powered scooters when I was growing up... although, we did have dirtbikes, but I don't know anyone who rode at 10pm...
why? probably because we were smart enough not to ride around in the dark!

no one ever said that the kids are treated like criminals...
they're just not following the noise ordinance laws after 10pm, it's not a criminal act - it's just rude
