Yes, news that will not be on our news in the USA (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR and even FOX)...............    Sad.  Black people in Africa (Christians) killed by other black people in Africa (who happen to be muslims)..........    Seems not to be a story....?   Should I call Al Sharpton or should somebody else....?    Let me know, we could get a phone tree going to Al, Jesse, and the American MSM, NPR, the State Department, in general to see if they are awake and actually have a journalist among them......?   Won't hold my breath.....!   Chris

280 Christians killed in attacks in Nigeria

JOS, Nigeria (BP) -- Christian deaths are spiraling in Nigeria as militant Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram terrorists escalate their attacks, according to reports from religious liberty watchdog groups active there.
As many as 280 people were killed in Christian communities in several attacks spanning February through mid-March in Nigeria's Middle Belt, according to varying reports from Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), Morning Star News and International Christian Concern (ICC). Militants destroyed hundreds of homes and displaced residents.

In the latest attack, Fulani militants killed 10 Christians overnight March 16 in Kaduna state, Morning Star News reported today (March 18). The deaths follow the killing of 40 Christians in at least two attacks in Kaduna Feb. 10-26.

Meanwhile, a regional Nigerian court ruled that the national government failed to protect victims when militant Fulani killed 500 people, most of them Christian civilians, in several Middle Belt attacks in Benue State in 2016. The Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Feb. 26 sided with Christian plaintiffs and ordered the government to investigate the 2016 killings, saying the government shirked "its obligation to protect the human rights of the Agatu Community and prevent its violation."

Yeah, sad that the NRA and the Chump Lovers here don't condemn such things. Very shallow people. Evil in their hearts? No doubt. Simply bad people.

Mays, sadly you missed the point once again.............  Not surprised.  Yes, Orange man bad, NRA members evil, Guns bad.....   We know the leftist-progressive mantra....

Anyway, of that 35,000 number you put out 60% of those were suicides.   Mostly middle aged to older white males taking themselves out....   Something that should make many of you on the left and the MSM kinda giddy....!   Exclude suicides from that number, all 21,000 of them, and it tells you that you should be actually very afraid every time you get in a car and go down the street as 38,000 people were killed in car accidents in 2018.   So there you go, proven wrong and providing misinformation once again you are....!  Time for you to turn in that death machine of yours, your car, if you own one (Mom's car does not count).  Chris

I missed the point?..... Really? Ok, so YOU are saying then there were at least 21,000 mentally / emotionally disturbed people with access to guns. That's just great. But hey, no worries, cars are much dangerous. Yep, there are no mandatory seat belt laws, no cars with anti-lock brakes, no cars with blind spot detectors, or lane deviation sensors. All things to make a car and it's occupants safer, and many becoming mandatory for car makers to
include. And yep, my mom has these in her car too, as do I. Bet you do too.
You're car analogy is ridiculous. And truthfully, I don't have a problem with guns, grew up around them, so whatever. But what is so wrong with better gun control laws? But, I know you and others will come at me, call me names, say I'm crazy, put me down. Wouldn't expect anything less from you. Can't just have a conversation, can we? That's the problem today.

The gun control crowd is a thinly-veiled *gun confiscation* crowd. They are dangerously ignorant.

Mays...if getting rid of all guns isn't the solution...and I wish it was... what is your idea to end gun violence?

We can all point and shake our heads, but that won't reduce gun deaths....

I'm a Trump supporter....one of the "evil people" you mentioned. Let's get together and end gun violence for good!!

You can't end gun violence for good. period.

There are very few things that can be done to limit access to those with mental issues.  Psychiatrists are already required to report patients that may harm themselves or others. Undiagnosed mental instability is widespread and cannot be easily seen. I blame it on the infantization of our culture combined with a lack of character.  We don't teach people how to deal with adversity. We don't teach people morals. The combination makes solving problems with a gun attractive. Frankly, I am amazed there aren't far MORE shootings considering how ubiquitous guns are.

Mays, something to consider. If 60% of gun deaths are suicides, which, while tragic, harm no one but themselves (discounting for thee purposes the effect any suicide has on the family) and a vast majority of the rest are related to gang violence (no statistics but that is widely accepted), the actual number of firearms MURDERS is incredibly low vs gun ownership   Media and politicians have gotten us all hypey over talking points. Can there be more effective laws? Perhaps, but NOTHING being proposed by our current crop of asshats would have done anything to prevent any of the mass shootings we have seen.

When you have an EFFECTIVE law that does not infringe on the rights of the law abiding citizens, I will be all for it.

Yep, you missed the point, totally over your head brother....!   I'd explain it to you but you probably would still not get it...   I will save us both the time........

And poor little you...!   The "drive by quick to insult Mays"  who calls anybody who supports Trump a "Chump" among many other insults in your history here....  Your whole modus operandi here has been dropping in every so often with a quick insult and no substance, no backup, no facts.    Calling others names in this thread right off the bat, in your first post, "Chump Lovers", "shallow, Evil, and bad people".... All while claiming people "come at you, can't have a conversation, and that is the problem today" ....?    Look in the mirror brother, there is the problem, it's you.

Didn't realize there were rules on who could post here and who couldn't. Yep, you're right, I do come by every so often to see what rhetoric is being spewed, and to get a good laugh. Sorry, I don't sit at the computer all day waiting for someone to post something and then pounce as soon as they do. I've got a life, and much better things to do. And you're comment on my posting of "Shallow, Evil, and bad people"??? Well that was a direct quote that someone else posted a few posts above mine, talking about the people that don't agree with Chump. Of course I changed key words in what I said, but same concept. You didn't go after them for saying that, now did you? Oh no!!! I noticed I used "Chump" again. Don't cry!

Still waiting to end gun violence with you Mays.

Is reaching across the aisle to find actual solutions not your goal?

I'm for eliminating all guns everywhere. Where do you stand?

You do realize that you came in here every 2 to 3 months or so for a day or two, did several nasty, hate filled, pejorative filled, drive by insults on anyone and anything conservative, including our great POTUS, and then you went away....   No facts, no substance, no proof of your opinions.  Just a bunch of stupid, one liners......  Very child like....!  Very immature....!   Very much like a naive 14 year old with a substandard education....  And then you complain as below.....?

Mays Quote:  "others will come at me, call me names, say I'm crazy, put me down. Wouldn't expect anything less from you. Can't just have a conversation, can we? That's the problem today".

Can't wrap my head around your logic here....?  With that kind of thinking I am guessing you have the political maturity and social intellect of a 14 year old raised by "collective", "socialist" liberal parents who hated America, capitalism, Republicans, and everything they stand for.........    You come in guns blazing, lips flapping, total disrespect for anyone who has an opinion different than yours, and then you expect respect and to have a "conversation"....?    Does not work like that little brother and you are receiving everything you deserve here....!  Well maybe not everything, I think Slow is going easy on you....?   Maybe go away for a few years, get smarter, age a little bit, have some 2-3 kids, buy a house, make 200K a year for 5 to 10 years in a row and see what kind of taxes you are paying, how much you are getting squirreled by CA franchise tax board and the FEDS, put a few kids through college (pay for it), read a whole lot more history books, stop watching CNN and MSNBC, and it might do you a lot of good....!

Good luck on your journey...!   You'll be smarter and wiser in the end, I hope....   Chris
