I believe Tower Bridge Bistro in the Embassy Suites Hotel is open (Amethyst, am I correct?). The food is excellent!

Thanks Deb!
Yes, the Tower Bridge Bistro will be having a special Christmas menu. I will post it tomorrow when I get it from the chef.

Hop Sings?

Enjoy a little Peking duck to the soothing sounds of waiters singing Deck The Halls. :letseat: :drunk2: ;)

Maybe its just me but I would feel kind of bad eating at a restaurant on a major holiday and having to watch others work and not be with their families.

What if they don't celebrate that holiday?

They have to work regardless of whether you go or not so why not support them while they're there?

My husband's restaurant is in a hotel so they are open 365 days.

What if they do?  Are you going to ask them as you sit down to eat?

Growing up I don't recall any restaurants being open on Xmas and yet nobody went hungry...  Imagine that

More restaurants stay open these days because times have changed and more people want to eat out.  I'm just not one of them...  There are 364 other days out of the year I can go out to eat if I want to.  Just sayin...

I think you missed my point. The hotel restaurant must be open for the hotel guests every day so they're not open on Christmas as a choice.

Movie theaters are open on Christmas day so why not restaurants?

I grew up in the Bay Area and my family usually ate dinner at Chinese restaurants on Christmas Day.   In the Bay Area, the restaurants were more crowded than the one in the Christmas Story movie.

BTW - Red Hawk Casino's restaurants are open.  Not surprised there.

I would rather work on Christmas eve where I could be around people rather be at home alone, which many people are.
