So what exactly would you like to see in this space?
unique & independent, or a chain that doesn't have a saturated presence in the Sacramento region.
Unique to me would be something like Hawks. But they chose to expand to downtown.
Another unique restaurant would be like Taste in Plymouth.
But I don't think that space would be good for either of these 2 restaurants.
I don't have a specific business in mind. I realize it is a huge space. Unless they subdivide, then it's probably going to require another popular chain. Maybe a department store would be better, as much as I hate Macy's that would be potentially good because there are no department stores in Folsom.
The problem is, as noted in another thread here, is that quality & service seems to be decreasing in many businesses. I really liked the Yard House in Roseville when I first went, but the successive times were mediocre, and now I wouldn't voluntarily go back unless nothing else was available. Even my latest fav, Fire & Flame had become blah on my 3rd visit..poor service & bad beef.
So wishing....how about an Apple store.
Oh! I just thought of the perfect restaurant that I've been begging to come to Sacramento. They are based in Visalia/Traver & recently opened a huge complex in Kettleman City. Bravo Farms. http://www.bravofarms.com/ Dang, I was just there this past weekend. I don't know how a restaurant in a po-dunk valley town can be so consistently fantastic & better than anything here. Probably their insistence on using prime meats.
I didn't mind the idea of the 'whiskey girls' until I saw one of my daughters' childhood friends dressed up as one. Very uncomfortable for me.
That's hilarious. Glad I didn't have to experience it.
