Cameron Park’s Spiritual Center for Positive Living (SCPL) is sponsoring the 4th annual Playing 4 Peace Concert on September 20, 2014 to honor The International Day of Peace. Last year’s concert was a huge success that brought the community together through music.
The 7 hour event (1pm - 8pm) features 5 dynamic and diverse musical groups. Sacramento favorite, Island of Black and White, once again joins Playing 4 Peace with their unique reggae-inspired rock and blues. Joining this year’s line-up is Joaquin Fioresi, Tamra Godey and Random Strangers. Ascension, SCPL’s house band, is another local favorite who will be playing for peace again this year. The parking lot of SCPL will be transformed with food booths, local artisans and merchants and a beer and wine station- all in proximity of the stage with huge tents to provide shade. There will a kids-craft area, and presentations of “Artwork for Peace” created by local Elementary school kids. Part of the proceeds of Playing4Peace, will benefit children of Veterans though the “Pathways for Veterans” non profit organization.
Bring a lawn chair and spend the day celebrating peace!
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Kids 12 & under are free.
