does anyone use fitbit.com or omron.com?

I think they are both interesting because I do not have a smartphone- but can log all the stuff into my computer daily.

Right now I am looking for a program that will assist in keeping track of my exercise program, diet, and heart health.  I have not seen many pedometers that are also heart monitors so I am assuming that if I go with a Fitbit or an Omron I would have to buy a heart watch separately.

If you don't use either of these two sites and their products, what do you use?

I've used lots of different tracking devices. The Omron pedometer was my favorite pedometer. Probably the most expensive was the BodyBugg. I no longer use an activity tracker, I got bored with the whole thing.

For tracking food, and activity, I prefer my plate livestrong.com, but I have to make the entries myself.

Thanks, I saw the Body Media ( used to be called the Body Bugg)- it is not priced very much more. About $19 dollars or so. I saw some complaints about rashes from the velcro strap.

I am in the market for a new device. I had the Fitbit Force and my display got moisture inside and since the device was discontinued I couldn't get a replacement. I am not fond of the Fitbit Flex. I had one and took it back. I have an iPhone and heard a watch might come out in the fourth quarter.  The Basis and Fitbit One seem to have good reviews. Let us know what you get!

I have been using endomondo. I use the Android version. Works great. Tracks speed, distance, time, elevation and more.

I couldn't get endomondo to work from my phone.

I've used several other app-based trackers- training peaks, pedometer gps+
They work as well as anything else out there.
You really just need to experiment to see which one you like best, except you said you don't have a smart phone. maybe go over to REI & check out their specialty watches for running.

yup, thanks. So far I am liking the FitBit. Someone told me the Garmin is a great ped, but the apps are hard to get used to. I plan on making the decision within the next few days. I am starting a regime after quite a while of lazyness. The pedo will assist me in slowly getting back into some nominal form of shape.

I've tried Fitbit, Jawbone and Nike.  While I liked the Nike best, it fell apart too often and the app has some weird and useless Nike points system.  Fitbit was nice and small but it didn't have enough features for me.  My favorite is the Jawbone band, the app is great and includes food entries too.  Have been using these for years but like Caligirlz, I too got bored with it and haven't worn any for the past month. I'll probably put them up for sale on craigslist or something.

Well, I decided on the FitBit One. It has the pedometer/calorie/stairs/and miles feature. The Fitbit site includes a free app that you can put in your heart rate/blood pressure/ glucose, water intake and food intake daily. I especially like that the food section is a countdown. so each time you put a meal in- it tells you how many calories you have left for the day- for your target.

Due to the injuries sustained and weight gain a few years ago- I opted for the  slowest weight loss program that will not pressure me to re-injure.  m gonna take this nice and slow and see how it works. If you guys want more info in how the system works- go to fitbit.com.

in about 3 months I will probably upgrade to the premium membership which will charge an annual fee. Only because I am competitive by nature and like to see graphs and charts comparing me to others within my targeted goals.
