I don't know about anybody else but it seems like nobody is giving the Giants any credit. All the annoucers and sports blogs keep talking about how being down isn't a problem for Philly, they have a deeper pitching staff, blah, blah, blah. Same with the Yankees series. One guy even said he thinks the Giants are just lucky. Really??

I know MLB WANTS to have another Yankees/Phillies series but I hope they don't get it. Giants/Rangers will be awesome!

Being a BRAVES fan, I don't want this to come off as bitterness but the umpires are cheating and the Phillies and BRAVES are much better teams than the Giants can ever be. The umps cheated us out of our series too. Bud is behind this madness. Good luck tonight. You'll need it......Come on J Roll..........

I also blame George Bush.

Ha! apparently they are NOT better. I'm tired of the Philly's and the Yankees, its about time a real team with talent won. Maybe Derick Cheater will have time to do more TV commercials now.

The Rangers look awfully good. They have pitching on par with SF and far superior bats. Gonna be tough for the Giants to win.

What do the Giants have to do to convince the East Coast Media and all of its bias, that the Giants are for real. They've been playing playoff baseball since Sept 1 and have the best pitching staff top to bottom in the Majors. Period. Just go aske the Atl and Philly fan. Six one run victories in the playoffs...CHAMPIONSHIP teams win the close ones. Home field advantage and no DH in SF games will hurt Texas big time.

Headed to Manderes for Game 1... probably around the 3rd or 4th inning. Hope to see you there!

Wow what an awesome game! Cliff Lee got lit UP! Too bad he can't pitch every night, LOL!

Giants bat's were on fire and even though the game seemed one-sided for a bit the Rangers can score quick so they'll need every run they can score. Great start, keep it going Giants!

Oh yeah nice play at first by Huff to make up for that error he made too!

This is just awesome. Unlike the last time the Giants made it to the series, they don't have an all-star line up. Instead, they've got great pitching and a hungry and determined
squad putting out maximum effort. A lot of fun to watch.

I was in the city today. Streets near the ball park were packed at 2pm. Thousands of people in Giants gear. I was able to get to the block the park is on but eventually turned away since traffic wasn't moving.

Met a couple of guys who had paid $300 each for the game.

My wife and daughters aren't big fans, and I couldn't get away with the $300 thing, so they sat through a few innings with me at the Park Chalet restaurant. They restaurant had all of their tables set up with the chairs on one side, facing the big screen. Great atmosphere. I kept the girls happy with pizza and a couple of beverages.

I got there when it was 2-0 Rangers and left when it was 8-2 Giants. Awesome!

There is one thing that the Giants have that no other team does. They have determination. They are a bunch of young and very quirky guys who WILL overcome all odds and win this. GO GIANTS!!!!!

Steve, the people next to us tailgating sold their 4 tix for $1700 EACH right before the game. It was insane.

Had a blast at the game although my throat is killing me from screaming.

what are the odds! Could you fathom Giants being here at the start of the season? Loving every second of it. Now how likely is it that Rangers would win 4 out of 5 games? I would hate for the series to end in 4 games. Need some nail biters (of course with Giants coming on top) :)
