Law enforcement agencies in the Sacramento region will join with the federal DEA in the second National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on April 30.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., people can drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs at numerous sites throughout the region. The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.

Good idea, except for us Folsomites. While Folsom is not listed as participating in this event, at the bottom of the city website for identifying household hazardous wasteit says to take controlled substances to the Folsom PD, so it sounds like anyday and everyday, if you have old expired prescription you want to dispose of, you can just drop it off at the Folsom PD at your convenience.Law enforcement agencies in the Sacramento region will join with the federal DEA in the second National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on April 30.

I do know they don't want you flushing drugs down the toilet or just throwing them away in the garbage.
