Turkey gizzards

and leftover Fried Rice

Actually, I've been grilling turkey gizzards everyday since monday.

Monday I had them with leftover scalloped potatoes and yesterday I had them with a homemade burrito made from leftover refried beans and mexican rice from a restaurant combined with leftover homemade taco filling and freshly grated cheese.
I would rather be Backpacking

I'm assuming you're talking about the heart, lungs, and liver? How are you preparing them?

No, just the gizzard. I hate the livers and the hearts and presumably the lungs. I found a package of just gizzards at Winco. they are very lean, so I added a little oil to them to cook in a Hamilton Beach Griller, then most were just salt & peppered. Today's batch got BBQ sauce.

Homemade leftover ham & bean soup.

I started with kidney beans and one slice of bacon.
Then I added some diced ham from the freezer and a pint of homemade ham stock.
Next, some sliced up mushrooms, celery, onions, & tomatoes (stuff from the fridge).

Added a couple of tablespoons of leftover spaghetti sauce
and some other spices

last item, a small handful of macaroni noodles.

Made this on the weekend, eating the leftovers for lunch today.

5-bean salad
potato salad
1/3 lb smoked pork chop reheated on a Hamilton Beach griller.

all for just $4 from the local butcher shop.

It's all very tasty, especially the smoked pork

Still being sick, just made myself a steaming hot bowl of Top Ramen. How can something so good be so cheap? There is a ton of sodium in it, though.

3/4 cup brown rice
3/4 cup corn
3 oz chicken breast
6 oz of the greatest thing ever...Yoplait Greek honey vanilla yogurt

Not the greatest of meals. I am missing some green veggies but I needed some more carbs to get through my workouts. Plus, sometimes I need a break from the greens!
