When our town has three or more businesses selling the same thing, they might not all make it. That's competition.

Try Sassy Sweets on Sutter Street. It blows all the other places out of the water.

Is agree except its not there anymore :-(

I had missed that last comment, and the other day I was nearby and found the space to be empty.

I found out that Sassy Sweets left in October and was replaced by Carter's, but there is no sign of Carter's any more.

Carter's bakery is gone already? How can that be? He just went in? It looked more like a regular bakery to me and had a nice selection.

Sassy Sweets is closed? Oh man, that's a bummer. I'm going to miss the bacon pancake cupcakes. They were amazing.

The problem is that's a horrible location. A place like that which relies on good walk-in business needs to be in the middle of Sutter St, not at the very end of it.

No.  I think it was the one next to GameStop on East Bidwell.

No, that's Cupcake Craving. I thought sure that would be the first one to go for a number of reasons, including location.

If they're still in business, they must keep their costs pretty low.

According to the new Style Magazine, Cupcake Craving is reopening at the Palladio:

"Sugar Daddies, a dessert shop, will occupy a 2,400-square-foot space next to Pinkberry. The eatery combines Davis Creamery and local cupcake chain Cupcake Craving under one roof."

Cupcake Craving is one of those places that uses shortening in their "butter cream" frosting. Blech. I don't know how these businesses get away with false advertising; butter cream is made from ..... get ready for it.... BUTTER.

I hope both businesses survive! it seems a little odd that they would put an ice cream & a frojo place right next to each other. Hmmm...just checked the reviews for Davis Creamery, and they have frozen yogurt also.

I "heard" Icing On The Cupcake closed because of familial differences and didn't close because they couldn't get enough business. If this is true, at least the economy didn't make them tank! :)

Icing on Cupcake filed for bankruptcy, must have been more than family issues.
