Our hosting company is doing some work this evening, so the site may be down for an hour or more.

Hang in there.

Is there a reason the "view new content" button doesn't work? This is what I get.

That happened to me a few times, but when I clicked again I got the new content. Seems to be working fine for me now.

That's happened to me quite a few times over the past year or so, long before I took over. Usually when it happens, I refresh and try again and it works. I've noticed that it happens when there haven't been any new posts since the last one I saw. In other words, if I've already been  shown that post, when I click the 'new content' button, it seems to be saying 'you've already seen the most recent one.'
