Let us now debate the merits of legalizing prostitution or keeping it criminal. Annnd go:

what happened could have happened whether she was legal or not. basically he wanted some bad boy time. so he ordered up a bad girl for repeated episodes of mis-behaving on his yacht. this included doing heroin. so they would do drugs together on his boat. apparently she didn't want to be around to call 9-1-1 when something went wrong, but he wanted her to inject him. just didn't count on her not sticking around to be a buddy if something went wrong.
looks like she had moved here three months ago to live with her parents. her dad is an executive at Synapsys or something like that. I bet they are not having a good week.

This is a bad story for the man's family, and a story Google would rather not see. It doesn't really mean squat to Folsom, though.

She wasn't arrested for prostitution, and the legality of it has nothing to do with it. She od'd a guy and left him to die rather than make a simple phone call which could have saved his life. Sad.
Prostitutes and their clients meet up all the time through online services, and the cops don't crack down until someone gets hurt.

and apparently police are investigating another similar incident from out of state...another client that died of an overdose and she just walked away rather than calling 911.
she obviously didn't know he was recording the whole thing or she wouldn't have been so cavalier. geez, the guy was a Google exec. What did she expect? Privacy?

My friend just left Google X, hope he wasn't a friend of his. Very sad. And she's a horrendous person.

Where are you seeing the 3 months thing?
The 2nd article implies that her family was established in Folsom, "Tichelman’s father has ties to the tech industry. Folsom software firm SynapSense announced hiring her father, Bart Tichelman in 2012."

The family is all originally from Georgia. Her dad is also a big time poker player. Sounds like her parents moved here too years ago. Some article I saw today said she just moved here three months ago, the guy died in November, so she moved here aft four or five months after it happened. I'll try to find the link. By the way, this woman has a tattoo on her forearm that says, "kiss or kill"Where are you seeing the 3 months thing?

if it was recorded, why did it take until now to arrest her? Santa Cruz cops that bad at investigating crimes?

Never mind: I found this:
The move suggested they don't believe they can prove an intent to kill, even though authorities say Tichelman was caught on video injecting her client with heroin, stepping over him as he fell unconscious, finishing a glass of wine, and closing the boat's blinds before slipping away.... http://www.sfgate.co...was-5609169.php
I guess they were taking their time to build a case against her until finding out she was planning on moving back to Georgia.
