Crazy report # . . . Whoops, lost count!

Trump heads to Singapore with no preparation, no nuclear scientists, no senior advisors.

(I guess now he's a self-appointed nuclear physicist!)   :KOOLAID:

What could possibly go wrong??!!         :headbang:

In the Trump Administration, Science Is Unwelcome. So Is Advice.

https://www.nytimes....on-science.html

As President Trump prepares to meet Kim Jong-un of North Korea to negotiate denuclearization, a challenge that has bedeviled the world for years, he is doing so without the help of a White House science adviser or senior counselor trained in nuclear physics.

Mr. Trump is the first president since 1941 not to name a science adviser, a position created during World War II to guide the Oval Office on technical matters ranging from nuclear warfare to global pandemics. As a businessman and president, Mr. Trump has proudly been guided by his instincts.

(Prediction: This post will be met with hatred and ridicule, but no opposing argument or reasoning.)

Vinny - excellent post.  Not surprising, however, since most of Trump's underlings and constituents can barely spell s-c-i-e-n-c-e.

Crazy report for Father's Day 2018 -

Can Trump refuse to testify and pardon himself?

The law is clear that a president can be forced to comply with court orders and to testify.  In United States vs. Nixon (1974), the Supreme Court unanimously held that President Nixon had to comply with a court order and turn over the Watergate tapes.  The court emphatically rejected Nixon's claim that the court could not issue an order to a sitting president.  Likewise, the courts ruled that President Bill Clinton had to submit a deposition and answer questions under oath.  It was lies during this testimony about his sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky that led to his impeachment.

Trump is trying to go "above the law".  Unfortunately, the members of the Trump cult support him on it.  Let it happen and our democracy disappears.  Be careful who you support.
