I'm bummed that I couldn't make it to this event. How was the turnout?

If there is still need I'd be happy to donate to the artwork restoration project.

The turnout was great, and I think they raised about $1300 for the project. It's far short of what's needed, but it's a good start.

I've asked Barbara Leary, who is heading the campaign, to give details on how to contribute.

Thanks for stepping up!

Hi Carl! And Thanks Steve Heard for letting me know about this post.  Carl, you can send an e-mail to nsconews@comcast.net as that is the mailbox I use for Natoma Station Community Organization information.  You can still make a donation as I will be giving the monies to the L&L district which manages the art work once all collections have been received and a plan for the repair work is confirmed.

Thanks again to both of you!

Barbara Leary

Nice!  I loved the artwork when I lived over there and glad to know it's being maintained.

Barbara is working really hard to raise funds because the city doesn't have money designated for the upkeep of the artwork.  To keep it in good shape is a community effort and it takes a leader to make that happen.

Knowing the past helps deciphering the future.

I, too, loved the artwork when I lived in NS. When I moved into my first NS there was a poster that said "Natoma Station" at the top and he a photo of each sculpture. It was veri I terestig to see the construction backgrounds compared to the tree-filled streets lots of it is today. When I moved, I gave it to my best friend who lived down the street from me.
