Yep, been reading that stuff for years, interesting but not a big deal.   And your pandemic or mass kill off due to the ancient viruses and bacteria is where...?   Now you could dig up those guys frozen in the arctic who died of smallpox, that might be interesting.  And we have vaccine for that now....  Not worried.  I am more interested in the ancient Mastodon tusks they are digging up in Russia and selling to the Chinese.  But good you are reading some science.  Chris

As the glaciers, frozen tundra and other snow and ice covered areas of earth melt due to global warming,

it releases into the air and the environment all germs and viruses that have existed throughout history back into the planet.
This helps spread "new" viruses, even those that existed before humans appeared on the planet.

 

 

I was almost with you...right up until I considered that NONE of the pandemics in the last century came from permafrost melt. No, they came from poor sanitary practices and bizarre food practices. Most of them from China! 

Planes are FAR more responsible for global pandemics than any other single thing. 

 

To bring "climate change" into the discussion is just silly.  The next time  a global pandemic hits that started in permafrost, let me know...  I'm putting my money on high population density areas with poor sanitation like say, India (responsible for the last three cholera outbreaks.

I hate the fact that the Trump Crime family is profiteering with our national stockpile of medical supplies.

Sending the broken ventilators to states like NY and California, which didn't vote for him.

Using FEMA to outbid NY State on PPEs.

Sending life-saving equipment only to Republican governors.

Guess my sense of justice got the better of me.

In 2006, then-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration began purchasing ventilators to allow the city to be prepared for a pandemic like the current coronavirus crisis -- only for the city to later auction them off, according to a report.

ProPublica reported Monday that the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued a report in 2006 on the city's preparedness for pandemic influenza -- similar to the 1918 Spanish Flu or the 2019 novel coronavirus -- that projected the city would need thousands of extra ventilators in order to properly treat all of its residents who got sick. The plan was then put into action, with the city initially buying 500 ventilators before it ran out of money to buy more and to maintain the ones it had already stockpiled, according to ProPublica.

Those ventilators were then auctioned off some time before 2016 because the city could not afford to maintain them in working order, partially because the model of ventilator the city had purchased was no longer in production after 2009, the report said.

Vin, you can find A person to say ANYTHING.  Yeah, thousands of doctors worldwide have reported good results, but I'll go with "facebook doc."  <eyeroll>

 

Switching gears, we are being fed a bunch of crap, and I don't trust ANYTHING our government is telling us. Why?They are using computer models that have proven to be incredibly inaccurate (just like global warming) and now the raw data is being "adjusted" (just like gobal warming).

 

Dr birx just said that they are counting ALL deaths as corona deaths regardless of preexisting or underlying conditon if the person was infected.  NY also was not counting people who died at home who had not been tested, but now is using a "guesstimate" to add them to covid rolls.  What will this do? It will artificially inflate the low covid numbers....Which helps justify shutting down the economy.   Just like they do with global warming.  It's making me wonder what the game really is...
