South Lake Tahoe. Near the corner of Sierra Blvd and Lake Tahoe Blvd (aka Hwy 50). It is across from a car wash, next to a sports\health club.

IDK, we love the hut... Bill is a fantastic host, the kids are nice and the food is good. We typically order two 1/4# burger meals (one with fries, one with rings - both 1/2 orders are enough to share), a hut baby for the little dude, and a shake to share at the end... under $20 and it's a great atmosphere. Here's our secret... call in the order "for there" when you leave your house, no waiting when you arrive. :-)

Since Chico is my hometown and I have been going to Burger Hut since I can't remember when, I jumped for joy when I saw it opened locally! Yippee! yum.gif A taste of home...*sigh*.

We have lived in Folsom for 8 years and have actually taken day trips to Chico just for the food-we'd get Italian Cottage for breakfast, Burger Hut for Lunch and it was a toss up between Hulas or La Hacienda for dinner. If you're a former Chicoan, you know what I mean!

We love Burger Hut (so sad to hear 32nd subs went out??-their homebaked rolls were the BEST) We would pay a few bucks more for the locally owned non-chain restaurant. But our bill has always been reasonably priced for a family of 4-so I don't know what other people are ordering? They're so nice there too. Just last Sunday we went after Church and I had a conversation with the owner about people from Chico each of us knew! Doesn't everybody know somebody who went to Chico State?

Anyhow, while I do enjoy other burgers at different places too, Burger Hut is at the top of my list!

I'm not buying the claim of feeding 4 for under 15 dollars.....that place is way expensive for what you get. Heck, the "dinner for 4" is 19 or something like by itself. I guess if you call sharing a hamburger, order of fries, and a shake "dinner for 4" then so be it. Their shakes are 5 bucks apiece as it is............overrated.

lmaosmiley.gif I was going to post wondering WHO could possibly speak such nonsense. lmaosmiley.gif It was me! lmaosmiley.gif lmaosmiley.gif Actually, that was just during their "family night' special that only ran during the summer, giving you 20% off. Now it's right at $20 for the four of us (hot dog, two regular burgers, one kids meal, one fry order, and a drink). I like the place because I like to fix my own burger and I like their fries. Until In n Out opens, they'll have our business.

My family has been raving about this place and will drive from Placerville to eat there, so tonight I double dated with my sister and our boyfriends and went for dinner. I was very, very impressed! My cheeseburger, fries and drink was about 7-ish bucks. The meat tasted nice, the fries were completely fresh and I loved being able to put whatever I want on my burger. I also sampled the seasoned fries (which were my favorite) and the onion rings (which were pretty good). My sister let me have a bite of her chicken sandwich, which was steaming hot and delicious. The people working there were very friendly and nice.

It was a good visit. I'll definitely be back.

Good burgers but way too pricey for what you get, also it usually takes awhile to get your food regardless of if they are busy or not..just don't think it is worth the price.
