What kinds of music?

Any particular bands?

Changes you would make?

I'd like to see some old school soul and R&B stuff; Tower of Power or WAR, Lowrider Band, etc.

Maybe bring back past performers like The Hollywood Stones, Joy and Madness or Maxx Cabello.

For blues, Chris Cain is always good. Maybe Elvin Bishop.

Cash Creek is a good local country band that should be getting more exposure.

What do you think?

I'd like to see/hear bands that are:

- surf rock

- rockabiliy or psychobiliy

- decent pop punk

I do not want to see another cover band of any sort

It would be nice to have a couple of headliners (rock/pop/alt.) along with the cover bands, I had a good time a few years back when Eddie Money and the English beat played.

You mean the drunk Eddie Money who was called in at the 11th hour to replace Pat Benetar? He was awful that night.

Love good blues. A motown cover band might be worthwhile. Perhaps a version of what remains of Little Feat...they sure were good.  I second Chris Cain.  How about Robert Cray? On the flip side, how about 80s new wave? B52s, Blondie, Devo...

I'm with you, Chad. But that would turn it into more of a music festival versus a party. It's pretty obvious that it just wants to be a party instead of a music-first event.

That said, to the powers that be, try to get SF band The Stones Foxes. Most excellent.

And also the Folsom band Pilgrim. :)

+1 for Kenny Loggins!  He seems to tour a lot and plays smaller venues so maybe it's possible to get him!

Yes, it is definitely more of a party than a music festival.

He might be too expensive.

Yeah, I had really wanted to see Pat Benatar. Eddie looked like a corpse, but it was still a good show.

I'd like to see some good blues and rock bands, mostly with original music. The cover bands don't really entice me to come out to the show.

My all time favorite act I saw was Edgar Winter.  Here's some bands from 2011

Bring back Diego's Umbrella! I wasn't able to make it that year and still haven't seen them.

James Cavern - he's a bluesy/folksy local artist who was on the voice 2 seasons ago. Great guy!
