Renowned does not imply effective or good. In this particular case, there's a lot of bad to consider.

Let me just clarify.... I haven't even read the referenced articles yet....

I love dogs & I love learning about dogs. I think Cesar has some very valid points & I wish he'd had been around when I had my last dog.

Do I believe in dog pyschology? I think it's sketchy, but I'm not a big fan of psychology in general... There's always cause & affect.

Am I Dog Whisperer groupie? hardly. I don't even own a TV.

First time I've heard of this dude

I read the links posted above. I have to snicker at the part that says he's a "self trained professional" heh, that gives me hope, maybe can I be a self trained neurosurgeon or lawyer?

Course the bottom line is.... does what he does with dogs work? Apparently it does and so they made a tv series about it and he has become famous. Obviously he's doing something right.

However, keep in mind anyone on tv can be famous, look at the oxyclean guy, he got very famous, just by hocking cleaning wares in obnoxious commercials. Being on TV doesn't make one great, not in my eyes anyways.

I personally think it's funny to think about a guy whispering to a dog to get it to behave, but like I said if it works then it works... I can see it now "that a boy, be good, pretty please.. everyone's watching, don't make me look bad, I'll give you a steak later.."

I usually don't whisper to my dog, I talk straight with her over a cup of coffee in the morning, then we go for a walk so she can sniff the world, she seems happy.

Were they selling tickets to the event and didn't have enough sales?

I don't know. There's speculation that it's a personal issue. It seems he has cancelled all his west coast shows.
