Some people need to get a grasp on reality. Folsom isn't all that. It's a middle-income community with track house after track house. Just because everything is brand spankin' new, doesn't make it better than other communities. Other than Sutter Street, nothing distinguishes Folsom from other new communities. Folsom looks just like Elk Grove, Natomas, West Sac, and Rocklin. The houses are all in the same price ranges and you all have your Target, BJs, Mimi's, Costco, and other big box stores. Not to mention tiny lots that put you right on top of your neighbors. Folsom's nice, but people need to realize that you're not living in a high income upscale elite neighborhood. So stop acting like you're better than everyone else. Folsom is no Granite Bay, El Dorado Hills, or Land Park.

THANK YOU....I was going to mention that, but I didn't want people whining that I was being 'insensitive' for correcting people.

It's one of my three major pet peeves with language. The other two are "could care less" when it's "couldn't care less" and the other is "the First Annual." There is no first annual. The first time it's just the "first" or the "inaugural." After that it's the annual.

I could care less, but it would take too much effort.

That's an international thing, and actually proper English. In the UK, it's orientated like orientation.

Well, "irregardless" of that, we're in the U.S., so 'oriented' is the recognized proper usage. I could care less what the UK does... ohmy.gif

They're vs. there vs. their; It's vs its and Your vs you're all run rampant on this forum. If we pointed out every single grammatical and spelling error around, we'd be here for days.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY GIRL.

I guess I just expect better from grown, educated adults. My mistake. Sorry for having higher expectations of people. My error. I forgot we're in the "don't correct anyone...it'll destroy their self-esteem" society.

It's OK to agree with me...it's not a crime. Maybe this subject SHOULD be raised...in the interest of having a 'smarter' forum. Some of the grammar/spelling/word usage is pretty bad. Is it just laziness, or something more serious??

Chipshot, If you're going to expect so much of others (WRT to grammar) you may first want to make sure your own ball isn't plugged in the sand.

"I could care less what the UK does..."

The phrase (with its normal meaning) isn't, "I could care less", it is, "I couldn't care less".

IOW, I could not care any less than I already do about what the UK does.
