Do you know what happened to Chez Daniel?  The name is off the sign out front...

I read that he decided to retire.

I hope he hasn't closed!  We were just there a couple of months ago and there was no mention of them closing.  I couldn't find anything online about the restaurant closing... that would be sad news indeed.

I have to give credit to  the Sac Business Journal.  They seem to be the best news coverage in the region on what's happening with local shops and restaurants.  Much better coverage than the Telegraph.

Thanks so much for the information - great detective work!  Very sorry to see Chez Daniel close; we loved that restaurant a lot and wish Chef Pont all the best.  Thanks again and looking forward to the opening of Le Charenton.
