I thought this year's show was better than the last couple, but nothing to write home about.

Favorite performances were: Annie Lennox with Hozier, Usher singing Stevie Wonder's 'If it's Magic', Ed Sheeran with all-star band featuring Herbie Hancock, Questlove and John Mayer, and AC/DC's opener.

Wasn't crazy about Miranda Lambert, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande or Beyonce's performances. Dull.

I wish they'd play blues and jazz in addition to the pop and country.

It wouldn't be the Grammy's without Kanye rushing the stage after "they messed with Beyonce" and didn't give her album of the year. Granted I haven't heard anything from Beck (and haven't really sought his stuff out) but the dude is whacked.

And Sam Smith sure took away a few awards for stealing that Tom Petty riff right?

Kan-Yay almost lost it again.  I loved Hozier but thought that Annie was yelling her part.  Over all, I enjoyed it more than most years.

Uh Oh, don't let Kanye hear you say that about his idol Beyonce!

Kanye, the worlds least talented person on the planet who got famous for being a loud mouthed jackass, oh and for being a Kardashian whipping boy.

This is the second time Kanye Worst has "rushed" the stage to protest a Grammy winner.  Remember Taylor Swift winning for Best Video a few year back and he grabbing the mike from her?  Maybe he just wants/needs more attention than just being part of the Kardashian circus.  No class

The show seemed dull to me.  The new music was not all that great.  Sam Smith has a fantastic voice, but the songs get tedious.

Usher's performance was very good.

Madonna needs to just stop.

AC/DC is more like Spinal Tap with each passing year.

I have no idea why ELO performed, doing songs from almost 40 years ago.  That being said they were actually my favorite group back then, so I loved seeing the performance.

Favorite performances were: [insert list of old artists invited to receive lifetime awards or have paired with new artists to make them seem current again]

Wasn't crazy about [list currently popular artists]. Dull.

I wish they'd play [list genres popular at least 1 or 2 generations ago] in addition to the [list currently popular genres].

I've converted your post to a digital template that can be used in the future since my mom and grandpa only had a hand-written template they passed down to me when I turned 40. I can't wait to use it in a few years!

That was at once funny, and slightly painful.

Although I do appreciate some of the older established artists who have developed a body of work, I also like some of the new ones who are creating good, original work.

Sam Smith, Hozier and Ed Sheeran were standouts last night.

I have absolutely no desire to watch any award shows. Just not a fan of "stars" self aggrandizement. But I'm glad for those that enjoy it.

I like the Grammys because it gives me snapshots of the spectrum of music over all the genres. It also let's me see how slutty, er, I guess they think it's sexy, popular artists have become. I don't watch music videos, so it's an interesting cross section of our culture today. That said, I don't make it a point to watch. Lots of attitude though.

That's the problem with the shows; they don't show the spectrum. They show the pop and country stuff.

A spectrum, then, not the full spectrum. But Beck doesn't fall into pop or country. Of course, I didn't hear any opera or classical either.

On a side note, Steve, how do I block someone on thr forum?

I am not sure you can block a member. I've never had the need to.  I think if you go up to the dropdown menu by your name you'll find whatever controls or options you do have.

I'll see what I can find out as well.
