What is Sierra Stone™?

Sierra Stone is a unique decorative stone and epoxy over-lay. Sierra Stone is designed for both interior and exterior applications. We can apply this over cracked and ugly concrete to create a driveway or patio that is customized, beautiful and very durable. Sierra Stone California™exceeds traditional flooring.

Here are some before and after photo's from recent jobs we have done. We will be at the Sacramento H&G Show this weekend - come by and see us! We are locally owned and operated (based in Folsom, our show room opens up August 1st in Lincoln). 916.850.1158 or www.SierraStoneCalifornia.com

Questions:

How much does it cost?

How long does it last?

How long has the product been around?

Does it crack?

Typically the cost is $7.00 per square foot

The epoxy and stone will not crack with normal wear and tear (this means driving on it and so on...) but should you have a drastic shift to your concrete or underlying surface, it can crack... it can also easily be repaired - again since the stone is a natural product, the color is the same and can be trowled on to fix any cracks that come up.

Additionally, it does not stain or chip, and is pourus so less slippery than some of the other alternatives out there.

The product itself is a natural stone - so, unlike staining, the color doesn't wear off - but it does need a roll-coat every 5 years or so and can easily be repaired should there be any drastic shift to you underlying concrete and so on.

The product has been around for more than 25 years. Our parent company is located Canada - we opened here about 2 years ago. In addition we have offices in the NW & AZ.

Can you put non-slip surfaces on top of other surfaces that are "supposedly" non-slip? Our neighbor's pool surround is really slick and they'd like to change it.

Yes - they come out and prepare the existing surface for the new application, and because it is epoxy it adheres very strongly to whatever it is applied to. We would be happy to send our guys out for a free estimate and consultation. Just have your neighbor give us a call! biggrin.gif

The cost included material and labor - and the jobs are typically completed within a day or 2 (although a driveway requires 48 hours of "cure" time - so you would be unable to drive on it for a couple of days after the installation)

Assuming these dimensions 30' wide by 12' long (360 sq. ft) the cost would be approximately $2520.00 which is far cheaper than ripping the concrete out and starting from scratch - and more durable that some of the other options.
