Two words that I hear misused nearly every day, especially on any of the local tv news programs are:

1.  The use of the word "fun" as an adjective, as in, "We visited the fish hatchery today and it was

pretty fun."

2.  Pronouncing the word "caramel" as though it was the name of a town on the central California coast,

that is, dropping the second letter "a". It seems as though  more people pronounce it that way than not.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary shows the third usage of "fun" as an adjective meaning "providing entertainment, amusement, or enjoyment."

It even allows "funner" and "funnest."

So, I'm not sure why you say that is incorrect. Your position doesn't seem very fun.  :BURNOUT:

Okay, I have NEVER heard this expression. I am laughing my butt off (I wish).

If you don't mind, I am going to borrow this and use it every time someone asks me why I'm sweating.........which sadly is often.
