Killed at the Saudi Embassy in Turkey maybe.  Cut up, frozen, put into diplomatic sacks (not customs checked) and flown to Saudi Arabia for disposal.....?   Maybe...?    What should we do...?   This is very important news folks, just saying.  We can not condone this or support it in any way.  Consequences, we will see..?   Chris

Let's see.

Trump hates the free press. He calls them "the enemy of the people."    :noway:
Trump LOVES powerful dictators.                                    :warning:

Trump criticizes NY Times and Washington Post.

Jared Kushner is buddy-buddy with the murderous Saudi prince.            :who-me:

Now a WaPo writer is killed and dismembered on the orders of the Saudi Prince.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?         :huhwhat:

Trump Crime Family looking more like murderous dictators every day!

If a Prince Murders a Journalist, That’s Not a Hiccup

In the end, Saudi Arabia played Kushner, Trump and his other American acolytes for suckers.

https://www.nytimes....-khashoggi.html

Frankly, it’s a disgrace that Trump administration officials and American business tycoons enabled and applauded M.B.S. as he imprisoned business executives, kidnapped Lebanon’s prime minister, rashly created a crisis with Qatar, and went to ware in Yemen to create what the United Nations calls the world’s worst humanitarian crisis there. Some eight million Yemenis on the edge of starvation there don’t share this bizarre view that M.B.S. is a magnificent reformer.

Trump has expressed “great confidence” in M.B.S. and said that he and King Salman “know exactly what they are doing.” Jared Kushner wooed M.B.S. and built a close relationship with him — communicating privately without involving State Department experts — in ways that certainly assisted M.B.S. in his bid to consolidate power for himself.

Tio Vinney, I think you are missing my point.  No fan of the WaPo for sure but I am a fan of journalists being protected.  I do have a problem with current journalism (their left wing agenda, 97% of them, CNN, WaPo, and MSNBC....) but I think there are still a few out there that pursue the story, the truth, the whole truth, without politics behind their agenda.  My point is this guy got killed and his Apple watch uploaded his torture and killing to the cloud....?  He was smart enough to put his watch on "record" and the Saudis were dumb enough not to take it from him as soon as he crossed the threshold into the embassy.....     I think the Saudis will pay dearly for this financially, billions and billions...!   And rightfully so, not a big fan of them, not at all.....!   Stop the TDS BS in every post, it is getting old and trust me, we just ignore.....   Trump will kick the House of Saud in the nards for this, trust me...!   Chris

This has nothing to do with Trump spo leave your TDS at the door. It has everything to do with our uncomfortable alliances with dictators and despots who are only marginally better than the REALLY bad guys. This has been going on for the life of the country and  is nothing unusual about it. Every country picks alliances of convenience. You think Russia and China are big fans of N Korea? or the mullahs in Iran? Nope. They serve a purpose in the global positioning for power. Same with the Saudis. Don't forget who the 9/11 terrorists were or where Bin Laden came from.  Study history. We have both fought and been allies with the French, British, Soviets, Japanese, Germans, Mexicans and many others.

International politic and power struggles. Easy to see the big picture if you know history.

As to Chris' point. We cannot let this stand, and I am 100% certain the early release of the pastor from Turkey was directly related to this. Turkey is another of those uneasy alliances that we need to tread very carefully with.  Saudis will get a token "punishment," but we need their leverage with oil production to hurt the Russians and Iranians. soooo.....

Trump was asked about the incident, and his first concern was .  .  .  --> MONEY,   :lmaosmiley:   :loco:

that the military sales deal was more important than one journalist.   :CRAZYLOCO:

Next, Don Jr. spreads the rumor the Khashoggi was actually a terrorist

(and by implication, deserved to die anyway.)

Yes, Joe, the deal with Turkey for the Pastor may well be related.
Jared Kushner, with his access to classified information, and his closeness with the
rogue Saudi Prince < Mohammed bin Salman (MBS)>
  also raises come concerns.

The Prince once bragged that he had Kushner "in his back pocket."      :shades:

I dunno . . . .   Something just doesn't smell right!

All that ON TOP OF the crime of killing journalists!   :noyoudint:

Tio Vinny.....!   Love how you tied the killing of this guy to Trump, Kushner, and Trump Jr...........!   You left out Baron and Melania.......?   Your reward for this constant whining democratic party temper tantrum will come November 8th and it will be delivered by the American voter.  Keep it up...!  You move the needle every day, just not in the direction you would hope.   Chris

Get this:       :BREAKDANCE:         :KOOLAID:

Trump denies his own intelligence agencies and touts the Saudi line of "rogue killers" in the Khashoggi affair.

 - This after believing Putin over the CIA about Russian meddling.        :CRAZYLOCO:
 - This after Trump says he believes Putin, over his own FBI reports.  :loco:

 - This after Trump says he "fell in love" with Kim Jong Un.                   :newyear:

Ya have to wonder how gullible the Trump suckers can be!!   :warning:

Kind of gives new meaning and clarity to the term

         "Trump Derangement Syndrome,"            :gah:

                               doesn't it?

Trump touts Saudi King's denial in journalist's disappearance

https://www.cnn.com/...weet/index.html

President Donald Trump on Monday repeatedly highlighted the Saudi King's denial of involvement in the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi, at one point offering up an alternative theory that "rogue killers," rather than agents of the Saudi regime, were involved.

Oh, almost forgot . . .   :BNANADANCE:      :BNANADANCE:      :BNANADANCE:

Agree that it's uncomfortable due to the alliances with despots, but now that Trump has weighed in on the (VERY LAME)

"rogue agents" excuse, you have to wonder if he really thinks he's kidding anyone.   :summerteeth:

Show of hands:  Who really believes that Trump "rogue agent" excuse??        __________________  :wave2:

A nation's embassy is the most highly monitored, guarded, and secure location a state can have.

Do you really believe that somehow terrorist (riding in Saudi private jets!) could get into the embassy,

could kill someone, and remove the body without them knowing???????

It stretches gullibility quotient!          :KOOLAID:

And now Trump has become the mouthpiece for the Saudi Despot Family!   :lmaosmiley:

Truly "cringe-worthy."

He believes the Saudi king, not his own intelligence agencies.

Just like he believed Putin in Helsinki.

Can't imagine people giving trump ANY credibility at this point.           :CRAZYLOCO:

Yawn. Can't say I'm too weepy over the death of a Washington Post columnist, which is *fake news, total establishment, and anti-Trump* all day and every day. He's not even an American citizen! He was even complicit with the Muslim Brotherhood!! What a scumbag. His death is probably just Karma doing what Karma does. Would like to see some Karma at the failing NYT too! These lying "news outlets" are the enemy of all *good Americans*, as are Democrats. Also, it's funny that Libs think that *mob behavior* will be a successful campaign tactic. Not too bright, are they?

Question for Vin.  What would you do? Given that the saudis are one of the few"allies" in the region that happen to oppose Iranian actions, what are your options?  Do you go full steam into exposing them and trying to make a regime change which risks them jumping in with Russia? DO you do nothing and make political assassination the new normal (although that is really already the norm in many islamic states,,,it just is ignored for the most part by US press).  Do you go diplomatic and leave them wiggle room (which is what we are doing) so that everybody knows what happened and yet gives them deniability? Something else?  You tell me the best solution....
