There's a work-in-progress storefront for a vegan raw food juice bar on Sutter Street. (In the same building as the stakehouse... oh, the polarity!)

I'm looking for more info, mostly when (or if) it'll oppen.  Any leads?

I didn't see it on the Folsom new business page, which looks rather out of date on the whole.

Is this it?

Oh yes, in the space where the cupcake shop used to be. Hope they make it.

Hey everybody. Here's my Sacramento Business Journal article about this business. It includes an estimated opening date. http://bizj.us/1af4rt

Thanks.

I do disagree with this statement however, "The store is a good match for Folsom's fitness community." I really don't know anyone in the fitness community who is touting a vegan diet. Paleo & it's versions are the latest fad food plans. "Pure Life Juice Co. will serve raw, organic, cold-pressed juices. It also will sell beverages such as coffee, tea and smoothies."  Also, coffee is considered acidic, so against the whole raw food, whole food ideology.

We had a store something like this in my home town. I LOVED that place & still visit every chance I get. I hope this place is similar.

Since I started this thread, it seemed appropriate I follow-up.

I am really enjoying this business.  I've had many of their smoothies, and some of their juices, and been happy with all of it.  The smoothies aren't the same as the more common frozen-yogurt-based smoothies, but are made with "real" ingredients like almond milk, fruit, and natural sweeteners.  They're tastier, more hearty, and more filling. (Yes, they're also more expensive.)  I'll keep visiting.

My favorite is the blueberry basil, but banana almond and raspberry creme are good, too.

I had a 'green juice' there. It was really good. I think $12 is expensive, but then I thought about the cost of everything that went in it.

$12 for a juice drink?  wow.

Yes. It had a bunch of stuff in it, and was really good, but $12 is $12.

Of course, a martini will set you back that much at some places in town.

"at some places in town" .....I don't think so....it's more like "at MOST if not ALL places in town".  So, really, it amounts to either going out and buying your own Nutribullet and all the ingredients to make the "gourmet" smoothie, or coughing up $12 to have one made for you.  In my case, it basically involves a willingness to accept the fact that my bar tab is usually going to cost much more than the actual food ticket!  Take your pick, folks.

Glad you are happy and giving them business.

I made my favorite green smoothie at home today, kale, spinach, almond butter, blueberries, almond milk, protein powder & ice with my vitamix.

I'll be making my chocolate banana shake for post workout later.

Folsom's best kept secret: $5 monster martinis as Scarlett's from 6 to 8, Thursday through Saturday (from 7pm on Wednesday).

Sounds great! I make my green ones with almost anything out of the veggie drawer. Some are better than others.
