Did anyone else hear and feel that? My whole house shook and I talked to someone several miles away from me that heard it to. Anyone have any information?

Yes, heard it here in Prairie Oaks and the house shook. Where are you?

Smart.
It was very loud in the older section of Folsom too. Sounded like an explosion.

The police scanner app indicated it was by Folsom prison and Folsom Lake. I received a phone call and missed any additional information.

I felt it down in old town too. so big it shook the house and I went outside to see if one of the walls of my house had fallen off! It definately came from the east. wonder if it had something to do with the work at the dam. it was my second thought after the house....what if the dam had blown. geez, always my parents worst nightmare! I guess if that had happened, the trickle of water that would be released wouldn't make much of a splash anyway. Upside of the drought? I kid!!
in all seriousness though, hope everyone up at the dam is okay.

Are they still doing blasting at the dam construction site?

Isn't there an airshow this weekend? Could that have been it?

Heard it loud and clear in Lexington Hills.

I heard it loud and clear, too, in the Parkway. It shook the house, but I thought nothing of it -- just thought it was my husband shutting the side entrance to the garage -- it's difficult to shut and makes that sort of sound and rattles the house.

I am going with the theory it was Leenda's husband shutting the garage door. ;-)

Yes, I like this theory. I heard it on Montrose and went by the dam construction site shortly thereafter; nothing looked amiss (still water trickling from the leaky outlets in the dam).

Yes, I heard it in Broadstone too and felt the house shake. I would guess the airshow theory is correct: http://www.californiacapitalairshow.com/
That would definitely explain why everyone heard it throughout town, but there is no damage.

So you're thinking it was a jet breaking the sound barrier? Unlikely over this area.
