Blackstone, El Dorado??? Are they still inbusiness?? I thought all the builders, except poor lennar pulled out. The Clubhouse never opened. All the promises that the builders made of this clubhouse with the swimming pool, etc. went out the window. No parks. No schools. No trees in the streets. Lots of empty promises. Another failed project and victim of this economy.

Hello, Can you tell me where location of this Blackstone Community. I have never heard of it? Thanks.

Looks like you riled some feathers palango.

The Blackstone Website has been updated recently.

(news has not been updated, but the master plan says:

Cambridge 2009

Parkland 2010)

Cambridge is bankrupt and Parkland is almost there.

Wishful thinking. Wonder when everything will show Lennar.

I ONLY wish I had that kind of effct on these corrupt builders that STILL hype things and come here to myfolsom.com DISGUISED as a homeowner. I just want FULL disclosure and transparency. Apparently, the blackstoneeldorado.com website's last update was in 2007.

True, they updated the master plan, community map page (albiet not the homes page):

I would cut and paste but it is an image.

Anyways it now says:
Cambridge Homes - Coming 2009
Parkland Homes - Coming 2010

Funny that they didn't just remove them since as you pointed out they haven't updated the homes page and make it still look like Centex is building. Parkland is on their way out, Cambridge is bankrupt, I don't see it turning around.

I ran into a good buddy of mine last week that lives in Blackstone. He said that the community center is now open, that the pools are awesome and the fitness equipment is all new.

He loves his neighbors and has pretty much NO utility bills. I've toured the Lennar homes and liked them a lot. The floor plans are SO much better than the Elliott plans in Folsom. Those floorplans blow!

Ahem. You mean low electric bill, but you still have to pay water, Gas, garbage, Sewer, HOA and Mello Roos as usual. The solar homes does not take care of all of the above.

Its great that some folks are having a great time out there. I feel bad for the folks that biought there about a year ago with all the promises of parks, schools, new builders (besides lennar). In the mean time, these excisting homeowners have seen sharp declines of the property values as you can get the same models for 100K lesser in 2009 than in 2008.

I just think that the current builders need to be more honest and transparent. Other than that, I am all for their success.

Blackstone has a special place in my heart and I hope that things start looking up. I was one of the many designers who designed the homes in Blackstone. When builders started losing money and not building it really crushed us because we felt these homes and the community would be a great addition to the beauty of El Dorado Hills. Glad to see the clubhouse (which we also designed) is up and running. Hopefully one day these builders can get back on their feet and the concept of Blackstone can become a reality.

I am interested in renting out the Blackstone Clubhouse for my daughters wedding reception Tuesday December 20, 2011. Would you be willing to pass my contact information to your friend who lives in Blackstone? I am hoping to locate someone who is on the HOA Board and ask them for some information,

Thank you,

Any thoughts on the Blackstone community now - four years later? Do homeowners there still love it? Do they have any parks yet?

There was an article in The Folsom Telegraph today about a house fire.  The SolarSave OE-34 solar panels used can be a fire hazard and owners have been advised to turn off their systems until they are repaired.  Just FYI in case anyone has one of those and isn't aware.
