Couple years back, we found a diamond ring in Lembi Park and tried everything we knew to locate the owner.  Signs in the park, notices on various message boards.  Finally gave it to Parks and Recreation people in City Hall thinking the owner might try contacting them.  About 6 months later, Parks & Rec called us and said no one claimed it and we could have it back.  We finally figured out why no one wanted it back.  We took it to two jewelers here in town and one pawn shop in Rancho Cordova to see if it had any value.  All of them told us the exact same thing -  it was a cubic zirconia in a cheap setting, worth between $24 and $35.  I think it's still in an old desk in the garage.
