Well, now that Yager's isn't catering to families anymore, maybe the Purple Place could be a nice replacement. I like live music on the weekends. Yay!

OK, I'll check it out soon. A cold beer is a good beer, and vice versa. rolleyes.gif

Everyone seems to LOVE the Purple place... I really need to try it!

I always thought it was a gay bar!

Goes to show, "never judge a book by it's cover!"

But does anyone know if it's kid-friendly? I've heard it's more of a bar. I don't know if that was what it used to be or if they mean that's what it is now. My kiddos are 13, 12, 11 and 9.

I'd say the Restaurant side is kid-friendly

The bar side is.. well.. a bar.

I recently tried it and it was good enough. No reason to not ever go back and try something different. Perfectly ok breakfast and service was fine, but Sutter Street Grill is better.
Purple Place is someplace to go to try something different for variety or if you don't want to bother waiting for tables at SSG or Goldminers.

Crabcakes: WONDERFUL. Breakfast: GREAT. Kids fine...and the bar is kind of down a hall...not a real presence if that's an issue at all.
