Isn't it interesting that the utilities increase wasn't mentioned until after the election ?

WE are to pay, over 10 years, the amount of 40 MILLION, which is the exact amount the city's consulting engineers said would be needed for "future developments"?????

The water meters EVERYONE was to pay for (for 6000 pre-1992 homes) didn't fly, so they come up with this.

All of the sewer/water incapacities were known to be needed to handle all the homes built in the last 10 years, so why wasn't it mandatory for those upgrades to be made by the developers BEFORE those homes and businesses went in?

This is the same old story-----another example of "where has the money gone"?? Another SCAM!------ AND, we re-elected the incumbants who were/are part of the team that let this happen!!!

t might be a good idea for more than just a few people to look into things, start asking questions, and demand accountings, or we will all be looking for low income housing!!!!

mad.gif And I would just add that please note, the news articles reporting the city's given reasons for the sewer upgrades cited the older sections of town. Another example of their flim-flam. We're supposed to buy the idea that we're going to be paying for maintenance and upgrade of old systems in old section of town. I suppose they figure folks are just too dumb to realize that sewage flows downhill. Residents in the old sections of town wouldn't be at risk of spills and backup if the new developments in eastern section of town weren't flushing in their direction.
