I see Greta as extremely brave BECAUSE she faces powerful people who

worship money more than the survival of the planet.

Greta Thunberg's unforgettable message

https://www.cnn.com/...-message-psaki/

on Monday, an even younger activist -- Thunberg -- made the starkest argument yet for why addressing climate change is not just an issue millennials vote on, presidential candidates should debate on or elected officials need to have a box checking plan on.

It is an issue that future generations, the grandchildren and great grandchildren of the leaders milling through the halls of the United Nations today, should not be burdened with solving alone.

Thank God for a little girl who states truth to power.
I've very proud of her.

UN Report Warns Climate Change Is Accelerating Ice Melt

“An existential crisis” as seas rise faster than predicted. Changes to civilization, one author says, are “permanent.”

https://www.bloomber...is-accelerating

Days after millions of climate protesters called for international action and global leaders convened at the United Nations Climate Action Summit, the world’s top climate-science body warned that collaboration on a global scale is required to cope with an onslaught of accelerating changes.

Chief among them is rapidly rising seas that will permanently alter how humans live—and where.

That’s the conclusion from a new report on human-induced changes in the world’s oceans and icy regions, published Wednesday by the UN-backed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

https://en.wikipedia.../Greta_Thunberg

Thunberg says she first heard about climate change in 2011, when she was 8 years old, and could not understand why so little was being done about it. Three years later she became depressed and lethargic, stopped talking and eating, and was eventually diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), and selective mutism. While acknowledging that her diagnosis "has limited me before", she does not view her Asperger's as an illness and has instead called it her "superpower".

So, Tio Vinny, you are saying we should pay attention to, and take seriously the instructions and demands of a 16 year old child with Asperger syndrome, OCD, and does not speak to others when she feels like it....?   I think not.  I think we should have compassion for the little one, put her back in school, punish her when she goes "selective" on speech, and get her therapy for her OCD.  How about that is what we do, actually what Sweden needs to do...    Chris

Well, not just Greta, but the vast majority of scientists who warn us of climate change,

and the BILLIONS of world citizens who take this matter seriously.

Sure, go ahead and try to rain on this parade. But it's a global movement.

She is simply the poster child for it.

  It's pretty funny and also pretty sad that a 16 year old Swedish girl with Aspergers Syndrome is smarter than the President of the United States!  As he might say, "SAD"!

Yes!

"Wisdom from the mouths of babes."

Not to detract from your 'sad' observation, but MANY 16-year olds are smarter than Trump.

And global warming is a serious issue that requires our immediate attention.

When the Trump fiasco finally collapses I can only hope all the climate change deniers are

forced to live in the lowlands of Florida and watch as their houses are inundated.

Put them in "Re-education Camps" in the Everglades.
