I would expect the same 3 pm time frame. They tend not to change the schedule too much. We were there today and it was really not that crowded. We used light rail and the bus shuttle. It went smoothly and was pretty fast.

I plan on taking the kids back tomorrow to watch the blue angles from the rancho cordova business park area - someplace where we can jump in the car and get back to 50 before the traffic gets bad. That is what I did last year; it worked pretty well.

I'll be there noonish tomorrow. Cloudy skies are always great for airshow pics.

I highly recommend getting there early enough to see the whole show -- not just the Blue Angels. The Harrier demonstration was awesome, and some of the smaller planes performed stunts we've never seen at previous air shows.

We took light rail in; that's the way to go. If you purchase your air show tickets online you save $4, plus you can ride light rail free, and there's a free shuttle from the light rail station to the gate at the air show. (Honestly, no one on light rail even checked to see if we had tickets to the air show -- everyone that got on light rail essentially got on free.)

We heard the parking lot (which charged $10/car) was full by 10 am.

Were there any special parking arrangements for bikes?

There is a free bike lock-up area (referenced in today's paper).

Great pics, Darth.

My husband went back today. He said the Harrier and the parachute jumpers didn't go on because of wind. Too bad! that Harrier demonstration is awesome.
