I thought about that same thing. One report I saw said that he has mental disabilities.

Yes, I saw that too.  And the mother died "on the streets."  These are two people who should never have had children, and certainly the father should not now profit from his bad decisions that have already cost society a boatload in addition to costing a little boy's life. 

 

It is impossible not to feel sorry for this boy.  It appears he was born with no one to love him or take care of him.  Even without the pit bulls, his adult sister's idea of "caring" for him was to lock him alone in her trailer while she went to work.
