Way you go Folsom Police Department.   Great Job.

Community: 5 subjects arrested in jewelry theft scheme in Folsom

Dear Calvin May,

An immediate call to police and quick action by the first officer on scene lead to the arrest of 4 adults and a juvenile this afternoon in Folsom. Around 11:30 today (March 2, 2017) a merchant from a store in the 700 block of Sutter Street noticed she had been distracted by several women while other women stole items of jewlery.  When the clerk noticed a large amount of missing jewlery, she called police right away and described the women.

The first officer quickly made his way to the area and found the women as they were leaving. Although two of the women tried to run, they were caught by officers from an allied agency who happened to be in the area.  The group of women were found to have taken an estimated $77,038 worth of jewelry from the business.

Stan Loghina, 45 years old, of Anaheim; Stoican Zelanda, 41 years old, of Anaheim; Mariana Slatineanu, 29 years old, of San Leandro; Stefan Poiana, 18 years old, of Westminster, and a juvenile were all arrested for theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.  The adults were booked into jail, and the juvenile was booked into juvenile hall.

Photos of the recovered jewlery are attached.  A photo of the adult suspects are also attached.  Anyone who might have additional information about thefts by this group should contact the Folsom Police Department at 916-355-7231.

Here's the Trader Joe's story about the wallet-stealing scumbag, in case some of you are wondering:

Good job, Folsom PD.

I love how responsive our police department is.

In late December my wife and I stopped at the Denny's on Riley around 1:00 AM after a late night flight back home. There was an individual inside who started making death threats, ...said he had a gun yadayada  - I'm pretty sure he was here Legally, based on his Caucasian appearance,   ...long story short, the hostess called 911 and within no more than 2 minutes, Folsom PD came in and swarmed the parking lot. All of us patrons made it out safely.

From what I understand, they had tape on her and had seen her there before. According to the cops, she would steal credit cards and rush over to Target to buy gift cards and other items before the cards could be reported stolen.
