Come November 2007, Folsom Lake Bowl will be installing all new lanes! That’s not all! We will also be installing new gutters, approaches and pin decks. For our kids, bumpers will be available on all 16 lanes! We also have a 3 phase interior remodel that is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2007. An exterior remodel including: upgrades to the parking lot, and a new look to the exterior of the building scheduled to be completed by the end of 2008. Make sure to come by and check it out after we’re finished!

Why not just burn it down...it's filthy inside and out and the employees are for the most part crazy..9 out of 10 moms wouldn't recommend having a bday party there because you don't get what you pay for and the employees fight in front of each other and the bowling alley food is gross.....This is Folsom...I suggest you make it family friendly if you want to attract families...However, if you want a dive to drink and gamble Folsom Lake Bowl is where it's at...

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, I encourage you to come talk to me about your concerns, my name is Dan and I'm one of the owners of Folsom Lake Bowl. I can assure you that the majority of our customers have a great time coming to our establishment just look at the parking lot when you drive by next time. 80% of our birthday parties are repeat customers, and again instead of complaining to an open forum why not come talk to someone who can do something about it. If the owners of a business are not aware of a customers concerns how can they address your particular points of view? We keep a very close monitor of how our staff treats customers and we had a meeting about 6 months ago to go over our overall customer service and how much it makes a difference on having satisfied customers. I nor any other business owner can control an employees actions 100% of the time, which means that periodically a customer may have a bad experience. As an owner I would love to hear about any negative experience a customer had so that I can prevent that experience from happening again! I can tell you that our management and employees are committed to providing the best in Entertainment for Folsom, whether it be in the bowling alley, sports bar, or our casino.

In the last 5 years the Folsom Lake Bowl has invested in New Lanes, a New Lane Machine, a New Lane Management system, New approaches, New Pins, Remodeled Bathrooms, New lighting, Roof Upgrades, Parking Lot upgrades, Sports Bar Upgrades & Casino Upgrades. We also hired a top notch mechanic which has brought our lane calls down 50% over the past year. Our Entire Staff is very well trained, and overall we have excellent customer feedback. We have new people that are running our kitchen and the food has increased in quality tremendously over the last year as well as the kitchen customer service.

Folsom Lake Bowl is always working on improving not only our customer experience, but what we offer to the community for family entertainment and 21 and older entertainment in the Sports Bar & Casino. My email address is Dan@folsomlakebowl.com if you would like to contact me to talk further I encourage you to do so.

Best Regards,
Dan Dreher

That's messed up. It's one thing to offer constructive criticism, but he was just trying to help promote a locally owned small business. No need to rail on the guy.

Thank you for your professional and rational response, Dan. My husband and I always have a good time when we visit your card room (which, admittedly isn't often, due to having a small child). We don't bowl there much, but that's just because it's really not either of our thing. Perhaps we'll have to check it out once the remodel is complete. Keep us updated!
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY GIRL.
We could not be doing this without you.
Much love and gratitude.

Wow. No chance of redemption? I admire that they are trying to upgrade the place and appeal to more than the regulars. It would be nice to have a nice bowling alley in town. Not everything old is bad, btw, there's a lot of character and integrity in buildings that aren't brand spanking new (not to mention better quality building in many cases) and renovations can work wonders.

Good luck Dan and thanks for the post. My family and I will check it out once your work is complete.

I'm glad they're renovating. The place was getting a little old, and could use a refresh. I look forward to positive changes in FLB.

Don't take it personally....but the mom's including myself have had issues with the bday parties...the employees won't help set up the table or clean it....the pizza is cold, the bowling lanes aren't ready, the tables weren't even set up on 2 bday parties we attended, the old man that fixes the lanes curses at the other employees...etc..now, bowling is fun, but not the atmosphere we experienced....IT has nothing to do with an old building, but when things aren't kept tidy and the bday parties aren't organized well, in my opinion things need to change...I made a complaint last year when I had a party and so did my friends....Maybe your employees never told you or you are an absentee owner...I have no idea...Good luck and hopefully you will have a successful remodel with better customer service in place...

Just out of curiosity - was that in the past 6 months or a couple years ago?
