(Not to pick on The Ravine, but as the Strikes owner states in the article, there are many places where alcohol is available, that aren't "bars".)
We could not be doing this without you.
Much love and gratitude.

That's goofy that lady doesn't want it there because of alcohol when as you pointed out The Ravine is there - and also Mesquite which serves alcohol, the wine bar and maybe one more place too.... thats a pretty weak reason to not want the bowling ally there... this sounds more like a case of NIMBY people...
heck, they should put it in the old 24 hour fitness place on Bidwell... lots of room there...

Speaking as a Realtor, I don't believe that property values would go down based on Strikes being there. Might go up. Families from both Briggs Ranch & Empire Ranch could walk and have some family fun.
I will be more than happy to head up a group in favor of Strikes.

I can't imagine a bowling alley without beer. I think Strikes is going to be a GREAT addition to Folsom. I think the Folsom Lake Bowl is more oriented towards its casino area anyway. They won't be hurt by this new place. The new one will draw a crowd that presently won't go to the old Folsom Lake Bowl.

You are correct.
And there was another requirement, back in the day, that a huge cloud of cigarette smoke was supposed to hover over the lanes.
No more. The "anti-smoking, second-hand smoke, cigarettes are the devil" Nazi's took care of that.

I'm all for the bowling alley. I'd love to have a family entertainment area. And, oh the horror, I enjoy having a cocktail now and then!
