La Fiesta (in the Target shopping center) is great! Taco Loco (Blue Ravine/Folsom near Tahoe Joe's) has some great carnitas. I've heard that Taqueria La Mexicana is good (313 Iron Point, near the Century theaters).

Many choices for Mexican food here in Folsom, that's for sure!

I still really love Q'bole! They are located in Old Folsom in the old Chevy's location.

La Fiesta and Sol Azteca.

Seconded. La Fiesta is our favorite Taqueria type place, Sol Azteca is our favorite sit down restaurant type place (though we liked it better before the expansion). Our neighbor's rave about Felipe's (near Malabar) and Lolita's (on Greenback) but we weren't all that impressed with either.

Edit: Oops! I guess Lolita's is not on Greenback, but near ARC.

I second the recommendation for Q'bole. Only had two dishes but they were both done well.

La Fiesta is the simplest, most authentic in town.

Q'bole was good when it first opened, but my last couple of times it was terrible, so I stopped going.

La Fiesta and Sol Azteca.

I used to be a regular at Sol Azteca, but ever since they began monitoring the air quality at the adjacent lot where a gas station once stood, I haven't been back. something about being adjacent to a toxic waste lot where the governemnt feels the need to monitor the concentration of escaping gases seems to keep me away.

I've grown accustomed now to Taqueria La Mexicana & Dos Coyotes.

Not to mention using Carnitas from Costco in my homemade mexican dishes
I would rather be Backpacking

I like the food at Mexquite, i just don't like how lousy the parking is at dinner time, the restaurant service isn't bad, but the bar from happy hour has the parking lot filled to capacity. I end up parking by Sunny Garden just to eat at Mexquite, well if I'm going to park so close to Sunny Garden, I might as well eat there instead

I used to really enjoy Mexquite - would go there a few times a month. I noticed the last two times I was in there they were piping in an air freshener that was really obnoxious. I have alot of endocrinological issues and perfumes, etc really bother me. It was so bad that we had to move to a table outside to eat. Generally I can tough it out, but this smell was so cloying that I haven't been back.

I have had my husband get me Mexquite as take-out though! Just can't give it up completely!

Qbole was my favorite but it looks like we might have to find a new favorite place.
