A project over 10 years in the making, the Folsom Round House is finally taking shape.
This mixed-use building is the brainchild of developer Jerry Bernau, and is part of the multi-phase project known as Historic Folsom Station, known locally as ‘the Railroad Block’.
The first phase was the public parking garage, followed by the building of the hardscape, landscape and amphitheater.
The round house will feature the first commercial operations on the railroad block, Scott’s Seafood and Willamette Wineworks.
Scott’s, a local favorite, will be moving from their current spot 9611 Greenback Lane.
Willamette Wineworks, as the name implies, is a winery from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. This outpost will feature food and wine pairings, as well as custom blending experiences. The company was founded by Jim Bernau, Jerry’s brother.
This project promises to drive additional visitors and visitor dollars to Folsom’s Historic District, to the benefit of local merchants.
If all goes well, the building could be complete by this summer. I’m looking forward t
