So, the new UFL team playing at Sac State this fall will be the Sacramento Mountain Lions. I'm interested to see what the logo will look like.

Pretty disappointed with the team name. The Sacramento Iron Horses woulda been my choice.

They are going to try yet another UFL football league? You would think they would learn that it isn't going to work.
A VETERAN
Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life".
That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

No...and they don't have a King, either...just a Mayor...
I speak truth. Don't ignore reality, folks.

Actually, with as many sightings as there have been of mountain lions at CSUS and the greater Sacramento Area, I don't think it is that out of line as a team name.
But I agree with the sentiment, why are they trying the UFL again?
I would rather be Backpacking

What was the Sacramento Surge? Was that UFL?

Surge Was World League, Gold Miners were Canadian Football League.
The UFL is basically a new football league; the World League is gone and there seems to be a need for a "feeder" system for the NFL. Personally, I don't know if I'll go to a game, but I'll support them.
Mountain Lions are around; and for the record, so are River Cats. Apparently there is a large feral cat population in West Sacramento! I would have prefered the Condors myself.

The Mountain Lions are who we THOUGHT they were!!!!
Isn't Dennis Green the coach?
This league might even get 3 or 4 games played before it folds.
I don't know why these things always pop up. Who's asking for it?

This is turning out to be an NFL Senior Tour rather than a farm league of young, fresh coaches and players.
