I discovered a new memorial in the median of Golf Links just west of E. Natoma. It is next to a badly dammaged tree. Does anyone have any information on this?

I was wondering the same thing. I went through there around 6:30am Sunday morning, the police had it closed at Swinton Drive. I came through there later in the day and some kids were out there setting up the memorial. I can't find anything online.

I think the make-shift memorials are inappropriate. remember those who perish in a private way in a place they would appreciate, not where they died or crashed. they turn into poorly conceived, faded and junky looking spots in short order that don't pay any real tribute to the deceased. but that's just me.

Looks like the memorial has been taken away now. The gash on that tree is something..... I come home that way from work late at night sometimes, after midnight, and every night I would see 2 or 3 candles lit and sometimes cars parked there just hanging out. She is truly missed by her family and friends.... Chris
