Well Maxine, you reap what you sow.........!

Maxine Waters says she's faced increased threats, cancels attending 2 events

Rep. Maxine Waters said Thursday she's seen an increase in threats since she made controversial comments last week encouraging protesters to heckle and harass members of Trump's Cabinet in public spaces.

The California Democrat canceled two scheduled appearances in Alabama and Texas this weekend after saying she got threatening messages and "hostile mail" at her office, including "one very serious death threat" on Monday from an individual in Texas.

"As the President has continued to lie and falsely claim that I encouraged people to assault his supporters, while also offering a veiled threat that I should 'be careful', even more individuals are leaving (threatening) messages and sending hostile mail to my office," she said in a statement.

"There was one very serious death threat made against me on Monday from an individual in Texas which is why my planned speaking engagements in Texas and Alabama were cancelled (sic) this weekend," she continued. "This is just one in several very serious threats the United States Capitol Police is investigating in which individuals threatened to shoot, lynch, or cause me serious bodily harm."

Reached for comment, a spokeswoman for the US Capitol Police said they do not comment on ongoing investigations.

Methinks that was just a convenient excuse for her to use as the party leadership wanted her to disappear for awhile. If not, she WAS the idiot calling for harassing sitting cabinet members and their families. How did she think that would turn out?

Here is the latest.

She is bringing this all on herself.

A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

A group of far-right protesters who planned to demonstrate outside Rep. Maxine Waters’ district office in South Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon failed to show up, but dozens of counterprotesters did.

The Oath Keepers, a far-right anti-government group that purports to have many veterans as members, had said they would protest outside the Los Angeles Democrat’s office on Thursday afternoon.

real nice group you support...

According to the Associated Press, the group had gathered with the expectation they would be confronting a far-right group, called the Oath Keepers, after they said they would hold a rally.

When a vehicle driven by two white men approached, the counter-protesters, who had been chanting “black power” and other slogans, stopped it, opened the doors, and grabbed the flag out of the back.

(they then proceeded to burn the flag)

One flag they wont burn....

A group of far-right protesters who planned to demonstrate...............

I love how Wikipedia and the left call the Oath Keepers "far right".  Absolutely ridiculous and just another example of the intolerant left and their vicious hate labeling of any group that does not agree with them.....!  Read below, not "far right", just 100% American values if you ask me....!  Heck, I just might join up today.....!   Chris

Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders, who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” That oath, mandated by Article VI of the Constitution itself, is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and Oath Keepers declare that they will not obey unconstitutional orders, such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as “enemy combatants” in violation of their ancient right to jury trial. See the Oath Keepers Declaration of Orders We Will Not Obey for details.

Oath Keepers reaches out to both current serving and veterans to remind them of their oaths, to teach them more about the Constitution they swore to defend, and to inspire them to defend it. See below for details on how we do that. Oath Keepers also includes a membership program designated as “Associate Members”, which consists of patriotic citizens who have not served in uniform but who serve now by supporting this mission with their Associate Membership and volunteer activities. Oath Keepers welcomes our Associate Members and appreciates their support of our mission.

Our motto is “Not on our watch!“
