I've really been missing live music lately. Any local bands/venues to recommend? Pretty much anything except pop or country. Blues, jazz, rock or acoustic would be ok.

Maxx Cabello Jr is a great guitarist who play rock, latin, blue, oldies.

Niall McGuiness New World Jazz Project plays out of Lake Tahoe is fantastic. I'm hoping to get him down here to play.

Walking Spanish is very eclectic and fun.

Harley White Jazz Orchestra is excellent and educational.

There is a Sunday night jazz jam at Gracianos in Old Sac

I've heard the Folsom Ukulele band meets every Tuesday at 11:30 am at the Senior Center.  It's not a joke.  I understand 50 - 70 members show up.  You could hear some free music there.
