Hey all. Does anyone know if Lake Natomas is even worth fishing? I got a new rod and reel and I'm looking for a nice quiet spot to fish. Let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks

Yes, Lake Natoma is worth fishing. Try the area at Willow Springs State Park - take Folsom Boulevard toward the freeway almost to the factory outlets, there's a state park entrance on the right that takes you into a nice little area to fish.
Good luck!

If you're a fly fisherman, check with the guys at American Fly Fishing... 3523 Fair Oaks Blvd, Sac. I don't have their number handy, but they're in the book. I believe they have a website as well (same as store name). We went there and got a lot of good info for local fishing spots. If you want a truly quiet place to fish and don't mind driving a little, head up to the Kyburz area (east on Hwy 50) once the streams open for the season (April or May). Don't be afraid to explore... you'll find some great places!

Apparently, now is the time to hit Lake Natoma for fishing... lots of rainbow trout. Someone recently pulled in a 19-pounder!
The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want.
