Every single sports personality is stating the Pats will go 19-0. No way. The 72 dolphins will be popping champagne sometime soon.

Statistics are with you - but who knows---
Might be nice to see another go all the way .. and if anyone the Pats are sure worthy and capable of it ...

I think the Pats will win Sunday, but the odds are stacked against them if they wish to go 19-0. The '84 49ers almost did it but a blown call actually gave a game to the Steelers, as I recall.
They still have 12 more games. Some team undoubtedly will get lucky. It's quite possible they go 16-0 in the season and get bounced in the first round... just how the chips fall sometimes.
Though I must say, when they are winning all their games by 17 points, it's hard to bet against them.

If they went 14-0 or 15-0 and had home field locked up, it would be interesting to see if they would actually play their starters in the last few games....also, with the way they are running up the score, it wouldn't surprise me if a pissed off LB decided to take Brady out.

I think the main problem is the Giants in Week 17. If their playoff position isn't set Belichick will have to decide on history over the Super Bowl. Recent history suggests he's going for it, but there's a difference between playing an extra series or two against a mediocre team and deciding to put his franchise player up against arguably the best pass rush in the league. If he's just playing for a Super Bowl, he sits Brady, and there's really no reason to believe Cassel can beat a Giants team playing for something.
However, it is quite likely the Giants will be stuck with the first wild card spot regardless (Detroit is their biggest threat in the wild card race, and the Cowboys could easily be 2 wins better by week 17) but if they are playing for a chance at a bye they will be playing 100%.
Other than that, their season ending schedule is weak and sets them up well to run the table in spite of resting starters. The Jets and Dolphins stink horribly (heck, that week 16 game could be a matchup of 14-0 and 0-14 teams) making their latest dangerous game the Steelers in week 14 - and I expect Indy will keep just enough pressure to keep them playing hard up to that point.
In all honesty, the only way the Pats could have gotten an easier schedule would be if they were matched up with the NFC West. I don't necessarily believe they will do it, but if any team is going to run the table, this is as easy a schedule as you will ever get.
Going the other way - if Indy wins tomorrow, they have a much tougher week 17 matchup, as the Titans are far more likely to be still fighting for a playoff spot and matches have always been competitive (22-20 score earlier in the year). But of course no one actually believes Indy can win this game....

It's Saturday night. I have no date, a 2 liter bottle of Shasta, and my all Rush mix tape. Let's rock.

Eventually another team will run the table. It may not be the 2007 Patriots but then again it just might. Records are made to be broken and the Dolphins record will fall too. I would love to see Brady & Co. do it.

The "curse of the Bambino" lasted a lot longer, but it ended (damn it!).

Alright- no need to get personal. Marino all time best!!
He's definitely a GOOD quarterback.
But I think to be on the list of all time greats... you must WIN a Super Bowl.
I honestly think John Elway would be thought of much less if he hadn't won those two SBs at the end of his career.
