9'ers should have won that game. Vernon Davis dropped a sure TD pass. Some bad coaching moves as well but I am encouraged by the development of Alex Smith. They have a ways to go but I think that they are on track. Singletary has some learning and development to do as well. That said, I think there is hope at last!

That was the 4th time this year the 49ers have allowed 4th quarter come backs.
Vikings, Colts, Titans and Seahawks.
That's 4 victories we could have had.
They shoulda coulda woulda been 9 and 3 now!

UGH!!! I was just getting over Sunday's loss! Now I have been reminded of this season. The game vs Seattle was the niners season in a nutshell. Poor clock managment, a chance to win in the 4th quarter, questionable coaching decisions, and the opponent scoring the go ahead FG/TD with under a minute to go...
So close, yet so far away...

The team showed their true colors yesterday. Alex Smith proved once again what a bust he is. The team played up to the team standard set when the York family took over.

The 49ers finish 8-8 (after beating the Rams and Lions). I suppose some of you will view mediocrity as success. Given the team's history from 1981-2001 I do not accept anything but a super bowl victory as success.
The team still is lousy and it's still run by the York family. They won't get better until the York family gives up control of the team.
(but at least they don't suck as bad as the Kings or their owners).

I wouldn't put the Niners' ownership by the York Family in the same ballpark as the Al Davis curse. I'm proud that my 49ers got away from their recent trend of losing records... Onward and upward!
