I just can't believe the Pats' D fell apart so badly. The Colts' drives were not cheapies. All were like 80 yards or so (no points off turnovers for the Colts).
You put up 34 points, and you expect to win the game w/ how that D (the Pats) had been playing. I don't get how some folks are blaming Brady for that loss.
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.

In order for the Bears to win, they need to RUN the ball and not have Grossman holding the ball with 2 min left and behind by 3.
In order for the Colts to win, close up all the running lanes and make Grossman beat you passing the ball.

Chad I agree - Miami - New Orleans - Tampa. (repeat) Sprinkle in a few San Diego's every now and then. Bo-ring!
I know they want to have the SB in a warm climate, but I LOVE watching a football game in the SNOW! I want to see a Super Bowl in Chicago - New England - Green Bay! So the fans get a little cold... so what? You can't tell me it's not entertaining to see snowball fights in the stands, snow angels on the field. Fumbles! Now THAT is football!

I wish! I love snowy smash-mouth football. I was so hoping for the snow to really kick in yesterday and not the half-arsed snow they got. That's what football's all about, IMHO. But the NFL makes more money in the warm climates. They can do the domes, but how many people were jazzed about going to Detroit city? Minneapolis? They should have it at the Rose Bowl again.

No football should every be played indoors. Real football is over for all intents and purposes. The AFC/NFC championships are the end of the season. Super Bowl and Pro Bowl are little more than revenue vehicles for the NFL.

The Super Bowl is about bragging rights. The Pro Bowl is about a trip to Hawaii for all those involved.

but what about the 12-13 people in the stands at the pro-bowl?
and the last super bowl that was interesting was when Oakland played Tampa, and even that was interesting only to watch those so-called tough raider fans cry like little girls.

When they held it in Detroit, less money was spent by visitors because of the snow. A friend of mine produces a huge party for one of the celebs every year. He cancelled last year because of tranportation issues and a general lack of interest.
When it's in a warmer locale, people party, tour around, stay longer and drop dollars.

Yeah, but it's still more money than Detroit would have had with no super bowl at all.

Wow! You mean it's all about money! Who knew?
Given the teams involved I think I'll just go for a long bike ride. I could care less which team wins this year and despite news to the contrary, the commercials aren't that interesting. Good day to do something else.

In fact, it's a great day to do something else. The stores (except the grocery store) are all empty and you can easily get into any restaurant that doesn't have a TV!
