Stores are leaving like crazy. There is so much vacancy as this rathole excuse for a mall is a sad narrative on the glory days.

IMHO, they should gut the whole thing and make K street a thorogh street.

the way it looks, by this summer Macys mens and womens stores will be the only remaining.

Planet Hollywood restaurant is closing soon.

This is the sorriest mall I have ever seen.

FWIW we've got a pretty sorry excuse for a mall right here in our own backyard!

Yeah, Folsom seems to be falling behind. Look at Roseville.

http://www.sacbee.co...busters-co.html

"Dave & Busters will be the latest addition to "restaurant row" at the Fountains in Roseville. Current eateries include: California Pizza Kitchen, McCormick & Schmick's, The Counter, Tres Agaves, Boudin, Noodles and Sake House."

The Palladio is STILL in its infancy age. As an early on harsh critic, I will give them props for at least getting the movie theatres rolling. Slowly, but surely it will get done unless Elliott goes out of Biz.

Not only that but have you been in a Macy's lately? What crap. I took my daughter in November to buy her a decent dress and everything looked like it would fall apart in 2 weeks.

When in the H*LL is Whole Foods going in and opening.... it's been like 3 years we've been waiting!
Also... LOVE KOHLS ( as opposed to Macy's).

Infancy? They've had this mall planned and on the books for like 20 years!

The NUgget Market in EDH will face serious challenge once/if the Whole Foods opens up just one exit away.

I helped open Downtown Plaza in (I think) 1992. I spent 5 days there around the grand opening. It was a pretty good project back then. It had a Weinstocks and a Macy's, some good stores and restaurants and was a big hit. When I saw it last February (2009) it was a mess. Any of you remember when they used the Petula Clark song "Downtown" as their theme? I got so damn sick of that song! wacko.gif

Do you remember when they had the theme bars - a country western, a comedy club, a nightclub-ish dance place, etc? I think there were five of them, but can't remember the name of it.
