Trump is like a monkey playing with matches. :loco:         :DEVILMAN:

He has totally screwed up foreign relations with his "I don't give a damn" tariffs.  :noyoudint:

Now, his his policies are back-firing by hurting American businesses.

:usaflag:      :smashpc:

Leaked documents show China's game plan to drive a wedge
into Trump's base using targeted tariffs

http://www.businessi...-tariffs-2018-7

  • China is using tariffs with the hope of splitting "apart different domestic groups" in the US, according to a leaked propaganda notice.
  • The notice, which outlined a range of censored content for Chinese media, included a brief overview of Beijing's trade strategy.
  • Experts already thought China was trying to target President Donald Trump's political base with its tariffs, but this appears to be the first time the official strategy has become public.

China is explicitly using tariffs as a wedge issue designed to split "apart different domestic groups in the US," according to leaked plans.

As a trade war looms between the two countries, Beijing issued a propaganda notice to Chinese media explaining the official game plan for handling the issue.

Uncle Vinny, you are wrong. Trump doesn't have a "I don't give a damn" feeling. He really cares about this country and that is why he doesn't want to see us taken to the cleaners any longer.

Tariffs are only hurting the businesses that have depended on procuring goods to make the products they sell and those businesses that are exporting products to other countries. This does not mean that goods can't be procured from our own country. It may increase the cost, however, many Americans have stated they'd pay more for goods, made in the USA.

Should we have to BUY our friends? Would you feel like your friend was truly a friend if he always borrowed money he never repaid, or always showed up at your house when you were eating dinner, knowing you'd invite him to stay and eat? You'd be a fool to allow yourself to be used like that!

Most Americans are not wimps and can handle increased prices if it means we can rebuild our country and our kids can finally get jobs and move out on their own. :USA:

Called negotiation tactics Tio Vinny..........   But that's a Capitalist thing, something you have no idea about and loathe.....!   But then again I think you are from the public service trough, retired out of it (early, I am sure) so you don't really know anything about economics or economic reality, the reality that affects the rest of us, we "non brainwashed progressives" who actually have to think, produce value, work within actual limits of the real economy.  But, you did good, another complaint to add to your long list of "complaints" about Trump.  You better slow down, this guy is gonna stroke you out....!   Chris

Good grief. Do you really believe this? The HD move was planned months ago for the reasons I pointed out before. MONTHS BEFORE Trump's tariffs.   http://fortune.com/2...hipments-slump/

Note the date of the article. JANUARY 30 2018  Stop spreading your propaganda.

HD themselves has said it is to serve asian markets (as I pointed out before).

How embarrassing is right. For you...

The US-China trade war is about to get real

https://money.cnn.co...iffs/index.html

On Friday, the world's top two economies are due to exchange fire by hitting $34 billion of each other's exports with steep new tariffs, the first moves in what may become a devastating cycle of retaliation.

"The United States will be opening fire on the whole world and also opening fire on itself," Chinese Commerce Ministry spokesman Gao Feng told reporters on Thursday. He warned that the US tariffs will hurt foreign companies that export goods from China to the United States.

The EU is reportedly plotting a major international effort to defuse Trump's trade war — but the US isn't buying it

https://www.sfgate.c...or-13048949.php

  • The European Union is reportedly ready to hold talks with major car manufacturers about a coordinated effort to cut preexisting tariffs.
  • US officials aren't believed to be keen on the idea, saying it would not "make a lot of sense for us."
  • Trump has threatened to place tariffs on European automobiles but has not yet followed through.

senior EU officials are drawing up plans to discuss a deal between major car exporters including Japan, South Korea, and the US to cut tariffs on their movement globally. This would be an attempt to address Trump's belief that the US is unfairly punished in the global car trade.

China and Russia hit back at Trump tariffs

https://www.bbc.com/...siness-44742714

China has hit back after US tariffs on Chinese goods came into effect and President Donald Trump threatened to impose more.

China's commerce ministry said it had lodged a new complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Meanwhile, Russia has announced extra duties on US imports in retaliation for earlier US steel tariffs.

Beijing has accused the US of starting the "largest trade war in economic history".

Dumbo fixing to destroy our economy!
Expect a not-so-Merry Christmas this year.

Trump kicked the trade war with China into high gear

http://www.businessi...calation-2018-7

The Trump administration has released a gargantuan list of Chinese goods that will be subject to tariffs, kicking a burgeoning trade war into high gear.

The new 10% tariffs will apply to a huge amount of items including seafood and other fresh goods, according to the list released by US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.

The move was immediately attacked by industry groups and trade experts who warned that the back-and-forth tariffs

will increase costs for consumers    :grrr:    and discourage investment by businesses into new hiring and equipment. These decisions in turn will slow down the US economy.   :cuss2:

Guess we can say goodbye to "Make America Great Again!"  :loco:     :usaflag:     :wave2:

What a joke!
