I bought a SanDisk Sport MP3 Player for educational cd’s only. I use iTunes for music, but my Nano and Touch are old and maxed out. I downloaded step-by-step instructions for how to rip the cd’s onto my player and put them in playlists. I am running Windows 10 and apparently I have Audio Play rather than Media Player. The instructions require Media Player. I have tried to download several versions of Media Player and it says I need XP before it can download. Although not extremely computer literate I am usually able to follow instructions, but not this time. I am ready to pay someone to do this for me and also teach me how to do it myself for next time. Any suggestions on who to call? Geek Squad is the only name I can think of and I don’t know if they do this kind of work.

Thanks!

As far as I know, WMP (Windows Media Player) is still included with Windows 10. Unless you have uninstalled it, you should be able to access it rather easily.

This was the first result from google. Perhaps give it a try to see if you already do have WMP:

Good luck!

I called Drop Zone and although I didn't catch his name he was very nice and helpful. He said its not their typical type of work, but they can do it. However, it would cost me $129/hour to have someone come to my house, figure out what's going on with my laptop and then teach me how to transfer my CDs into Media Player and put them into playlists. I could take it into their shop for $69/hour, but then they would just do it for me and not teach me how to do it. Both options would run more than an hour. He suggested that I a) call the MP3 manufacturer or b) find a teen to to do it and teach me. He said I could call back if I wanted them to send someone out.

OSO - With your link I was able to find Media Player. I was certain I hadn't removed it, but all my searches came up empty. Your link suggested clicking the Windows Key and R and running: wmplayer.exe and it worked. There it was! I haven't tried the rest of the instructions yet, but I'm feeling confident I can do this.

Thank you so much! THIS is why I love MyFolsom!!

Update: Although it appeared that Media Player had downloaded onto my laptop it would not work properly. I considered taking it in for repairs, but realized it would probably cost me $200+/-. So I,  once again, surrendered to Apple. I returned my Scandisk, purchased a Nano and used iTunes to load my CDs without problems. I had been having trouble with my older iTouch and Nano on iTunes, now I'm guessing they can't keep up with all the updates because the new one worked perfectly.

Thanks again for your input!
